NHS City and Hackney invites expressions of Interest
from all suitably qualified and experienced dental healthcare
providers (including existing practitioners, social enterprise /
third sector organisations and other providers) to provide a full
range of NHS dental care. The services being contracted are to be
provided from a site within the City of London.
It is the primary care trust's (PCT’s) aim through this
procurement, to improve local oral health and improve
access. It is intended the new provider will
develop a comprehensive service which is accessible to all local
people and which promotes dental and oral health as integral to
health and well-being. The PCT will require the
provider to work with the local community to create awareness of,
and encourage take-up of, dental services and to establish an NHS
dental service of which local residents will be justifiably
proud.
The primary dental care services procured through the Procurement
must be affordable and provide value for money.
Contract term
The contract for the term of the service will be under a PDS+
agreement. The provider will be expected to identify, fit out and
equip suitable premises, within an area specified, for occupation
and operation by January 2012. Likely contract term
will be five years with an option to extend by five years
(to a maximum of 10 years)

no later than 5pm on 8 July 2011.
The e-mail should include the tender reference number and contact
details such as the name of the person, job title, telephone
numbers (office and mobile) and the web address (if any).
Expressions of interests received after the deadline may not be
considered. We anticipate e-mailing a pre-qualification
questionnaire (PQQ) document and additional supporting information
after the closing date for EOIs.
Bidder event
NHS City and Hackney will be holding a bidder event at the
Training Centre, Mile End Hospital on Tuesday 5 July from
6pm. Prospective bidders should confirm their attendance by
e-mail at the above address.
Likely total contract value (minimum or maximum) is currently
unavailable. The contract value will be determined subject to
offers received.
