Foot Health service

Patients foot

The Foot Health service provides specialist care to a diverse group of patients with foot and lower limb problems.

The experienced team of podiatrists assess and diagnose any deformity or pathology of the foot with access to latest technology. Commonly seen foot conditions include:

  • Heel pain
  • Ingrowing toenails
  • Corns and callous caused by foot deformity associated with arthritis
  • Wounds related to long term medical conditions

Podiatrists at City and Hackney, including specialists in biomechanics and diabetes, provide skilled, evidence-based care to meet specific patient needs. A comprehensive range of treatment options is provided, such as:

  • Shoe inserts to control foot and leg function and reduce discomfort
  • Advanced wound healing therapies
  • Nail surgery
  • Patient advice

Our aim is to relieve pain, maintain patient mobility and function and prevent any further complications. General care is provided regularly for those eligible, based on medical and clinical need, to facilitate independent living.

Said one Foot Health service user in February 2007: "Delighted with the wonderful efficient service. The team has changed my life from pain everyday to being able to walk and stand pain free. Thank you."
