Children’s safeguarding service

The children's safeguarding service is provided by a specialist
team of nurses and doctors who provide advice and support to staff
to meet the needs of vulnerable children. They lead the health
service contribution to safeguarding children across City and
Hackney, and are the first point of contact for safeguarding advice
and paediatric opinion. They deliver safeguarding training to all
health service staff.
Services
- Provide safeguarding advice and support to staff with
concerns
- Provide safeguarding training for all health staff to respond
to the needs of vulnerable children and understand child abuse and
neglect
- Provide safeguarding supervision to all staff working directly
with children
- Work with key partners across the borough in ensuring good
governance arrangements for safeguarding
Referrals
Referrals may be made by social services care professionals.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday from 9.00am – 5.00pm.
