Community Paediatrics

Community paediatricians work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team to provide a range of services that are delivered through a range of universal, targeted and specialist clinics at Hackney Ark and other settings.

Services

Paediatricians provide medical and health assessments, investigation, treatment and support over three principal areas:

  • Child development and neurodisability, including vision and audiology
  • Child public health including immunisation and child health promotion programmes for preschool and school aged children
  • Safeguarding, child protection and looked after children

Referrals

Referrals may be made by a GP or other health, education or social care professionals who are involved with the child and concerned about their development. Referrals must be accompanied by supporting information.

Response times vary by clinic/service.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday from 9.00am - 5.00pm.
