Community paediatrics

Community paediatricians work as part of a multi-disciplinary
and multi-agency team to provide a range of services that are
delivered through a range of universal, targeted and specialist
clinics at Hackney Ark and other settings.
Services
Paediatricians provide medical and health assessments,
investigation, treatment and support over three principal
areas:
- Child development and neurodisability, including vision and
audiology
- Child public health including immunisation and child health
promotion programmes for preschool and school aged children
- Safeguarding, child protection and looked after children
Referrals
Referrals may be made by a GP or other health, education or
social care professionals who are involved with the child and
concerned about their development. Referrals must be accompanied by
supporting information.
Response times vary by clinic/service.

Monday to Friday from 9.00am - 5.00pm.
