The staff of Community Sexual Health Services are committed to improving the sexual and reproductive health of all people in the City and Hackney.

Our aim is to respect and understand the concerns of our clients, to meet their needs with sensitivity, and to provide services that are accessible and of excellent quality.

We work in a confidential and non-judgemental way to enable our service users to make healthy and informed choices.

 

Services

  • Community Sexual Health clinics
    Providing sexual health services including sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, contraception, pregnancy testing and advice and other health checks to women and men of all ages.
  • Gynaecology service
    Providing gynaecological assessment and treatment by referral from a clinician.
  • Chlamydia screening programme
    Providing testing and treatment for chlamydia and gonorrhoea to women and men aged under 25.
  • Open Doors team
    Providing outreach and clinical services to woman who sell sex from flats and saunas, and working in the borough of Hackney with street-based sex workers.
  • Community support team for HIV
    Providing a specialist nursing service dedicated to all adults infected or affected by HIV who are resident in Hackney

Who is eligible to access our service?

Our universal services are available to women and men of all ages by self referral. Clinic staff will give advice on specialist services.

The Ivy Centre operates Monday - Friday including drop-in clinics (see schedule above). If you require emergency contraception, you can also visit your local pharmacy or call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.

Where to find us

All the clinics can be reached by public transport and, where possible, should be accessed this way, as there are few parking spaces available at any of the sites.
