The next step - short-listing and
interviews
After the closing date for a post has passed, there will be a
short-listing process and successful candidates at this stage will
be invited to a formal interview before any appointments are made
to posts.
Pre-employment checks
If you are successful in being recruited to a post, various
pre-employment checks will take place. Some of these apply to
everyone, such as a Criminal Records Bureau check (CRB Check) and
an Occupational Health Check. We will also take up your references
and check any work permits (as necessary). Proof of professional
registration and clinical qualifications in the form of original
certificates will also be required for those of you taking up
medical and clinical posts within the PCT as appropriate.
PCT Induction Programme
The Trust has a structured induction programme available for all
employees. Part of this includes two full days of training to
introduce you to the NHS and the organisation. The following areas
are covered:
- Introduction to the Trust
- Staff Benefits
- Introduction to risk management
- Introduction to clinical governance
- Basic Fire Safety Training
- Health and Safety Awareness
- Child Protection
- Manual handling (non-clinical)
However depending on the nature of your new role, you may also
require additional induction training or training to higher levels
accordingly.
